I have trailered my boat about 120+ miles a week during the season for the past 3 seasons and haven't had a ram mount on my terrova. Have had zero issues with the head. (have had some issues with the gen 1 remote, but was all under warranty) Also have had zero accidental deployments. I switched to a mounting bracket my second year, I do check that screw regularly as it does tend to come loose over time.
