I have a newer Durango and love it. Pulls my 18" Crestliner with no problems. I have the V8 HEMI like someone else mentioned, but I think the V6 could pull just about any fishing boat safely. I haven't had any issues with the truck at all, but it's only a couple years old now (32k miles). I know several other people with older Durangos and don't recall hearing about any major issues.
