You should use ONLY Johnson/Evinrude 2 + 4. It does not have alcohol in it like Stabil and others that break down your engine! Remember gasoline will start breaking down siting around after 2 months or so keep that in mind!No fogging with 2+4 used regularly. You must follow mix ratios exactly.I figured a little more the merryer. Not true. Trust me Mercury and all other guys. This come from a Top A1 plus Engine mechanic and person who helped developed engines for Mercury and BRP over the years. Dave just retired last Friday!I was once a engine dummy and Dave has taught me so much about motors and who and how their built it's amazing. There is some much that the average joe don,t know.Small Merc,s are really Yammy and Dihatsu,s with Merc Cowling. Verado best built motor as of now. The best motor for any given boat is not by brand but by HP.If anybody tells you buy a certain brand he does,nt know what he's talking about as engine dynamics change as there HP size goes up.I asked Dave what engine to buy and he said Gman what HP. Good Luck All.
