When I took my boat to get it winterized this year, the mechanic said I had water/sludge in my plastic gas tank, gas lines and in the carberator. I told him that I had trouble starting it during the past season and that is what prompted him to find it. I use marine stabil in every tank of gas with the synthetic oil recommended by the manufacturer. I mix my gas in a 5 gallon plastic can and then put it in the boat when I need it. This is a small 2 stroke outboard. Are there any other treatments that need to be used to prevent this from happening? The mechanic didn't give any other suggestions for any other fuel treatments.
