The opti's get better fuel economy ----Probably
The opti's are cheaper to winterize ----I think it's a wash
The opti's have better top end speed and hole shot---- Probably
The opti's weighs around 80lbs less --- True

The Verado is quieter and with far less smoke --- Quieter yes. little to no smoke from opti's
The Verado has more mid range speed control -- Maybe yes-Maybe no.
The Verado has Electronic shift ---And throttle?
The Verado reduces the cost of oil ---Variable depending on use. You still have to change it, maybe more than once a season.

I agree with the above. Go with the Opti 175 pro-XS. Remember LOTW with KLY and my Opti?!
