Waldo why not the SI for casting? Won't it help finding structure and weed pockets to cast to?


SI is great, but he's got 3k to spend. Two sonar units, puck, wiring, chips for each graph, 3-bank battery charger, trolling motor, possibly batteries, and sounds like more on top of that, plus taxes. Adds up real fast. If he goes SI, graphs will have to be small and he'll cripple himself everywhere else. My first SI unit was the 798, on a screen that small, you don't get as much benefit as you would on a larger screen. Since he's a caster he can't skimp with a crappy trolling motor.
