Depends on if the inside propeller shaft housing is cracked,if it is you will have to tare down propeller shaft hub and weld from the inside as well.This could be costly in labor if your not doing it yourself.I tossed my cracked lowerunit for my Merc 225 hp a few years back and purchased an aftermarket lowerunit for around $900.
