Subject: Welding a lower end

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151		Has anyone welded a lower end that got cracked due to water freezing? Didn't get to it in time this year and the cold weather put a 3" frown just above the shaft housing. A couple of guys at work recommened having it welded. What do you think?
