Subject: Tuffy Esox Mag Console Question

Is it possible to have side by side seating in this boat without the addition of a rear casting platform? I was told by my dealer all along that it would be no problem to install a flat seat base along side the console seat without having to install a rear platform. After three months of waiting for a seat base from Tuffy, I find out from my dealer that the seat base cannot be placed there because of the way the gas tank is situated. One of the deciding factors in my purchase of the boat was the fact that I could have side by side seating. Had I known that the only way to do this was to add a rear platform, then I would have requested this when I bought the boat. I think if you are going to sell a product, as a dealer you should know the ins and outs of the product you are selling. How else can you be assured to give your customer what they want. Any input you could give me to help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
