Being six years old with low hours I bet the carbs are gummed up. Doe's it run good after warming up? If you don't use a fuel conditioner like stabil, gas will get gummed up and cause problems with your fuel system. My 90 Honda can be a little cold blooded unless the weather is warm. I would try using a Honda reccommended gas treatment, if that don't work it may be time to see your dealer.
