The boat runs mid 30's, and is a rocket out of the hole. I think a 12 pitch stainless is what you will need. 55# trolling motor is ALL you will need, I'm running exactly that and have never used it, even in current, over half speed unless I want to move fast to another location. The boat doesn't blow around and controls like a dream. If you put a 70# on her, you will have the xtra umphh if you need it, but I haven't yet and have been running this hull since 2003.
