Looks pretty much like my boat.

I've got a '96 397xt. Basically the same boat from the looks of it.

I have had it on Mille Lacs and LOTW (in the Angle) a fair amount in some rougher stuff and have had pretty much zero issues. The only issue I did have was my fault not the boat's, and it wasn't anything major...just some water over the front...we were wet for awhile.

Not sure what the storage is in the newer vintage, but it is one of the drawbacks to mine. No rod locker, and not a ton of under deck storage, but I can deal with it. Front and back deck are great for musky fishing.

I really like the boat, and so does my family. It is great for cruising with the kids or tubing.

That said, if MOST of my time were spent on BIG water fishing I would probably go a different direction.
