There must be power wires too besides the NMEA 2000 cables. The NMEA stuff just allows you to share it across the other units in the network but will not provide power to it. Its possible the power cable is coming off a separate T Connector somewhere.

See on the far right bottom the nmea power cord? If the puck is connected to this NMEA network, its getting its power from the network, my suspicion is that the nmea network is not switched off with your master switch. Though your setup could be different than this one because there is always 10 ways to do the same thing.
