An old fourwheeler trick was to put premixed gas into to oil injector tank, and run premix. That way you dont have to remove anything, and if the oil pump failed it doesnt matter your running premix. Or if the pump never failed it still didnt matter because it had premix in it.

Again thats an old fourwheeler trick, an outboard may be different
