i frequently touch up my aluminum duck rig. I do not typically keep it in the water for long periods of time, however, i jump alot of beaver.........dams and in general beat the livin crap out of it. The rustoleum primer and camo paint colors at the local home depot type stores have worked for me over the years and i would think compared to the price of auto paint, much more economical. I would also think that you would be wise to sand off all that crud that can build up, start fresh.
