Boat will have a top speed appx 27-29mph with me and my musky gear. 2 peope it will drop about a mile or two. Had a 17'2 with 92" beam and weighed about 200lbs more than this rig and topped out 25mph. Knowing how to prop the boat and where to mount the motor height is where its at. A boat with a bigger motor is worthless to me since i fish the best musky lake here in Missouri with a 40hp limit.
Rod locker is only 7ft and is the only downfall to this rig,but i use some telescopic rods.
Livewell is 14" x 41"
I didn't realize you fished a lake with a 40 HP limit. In that case it sounds like you got the perfect boat for your situation. |
