The chip/electronics company's could/should/will eventually make it work like any software I purchase for my computer. Allow up to 2-4 units owned by the individual to be loaded with the info. Done. Theres my gripe.

Now, nice to hear that lakemaster data will be/is perhaps available for the HDS units. It is the most accurate map data for many midwest Musky waters, and I can rest easy knowing I can continue to enjoy that with my HDS units as more and more of my favorite lakes become mapped.
