Location: Iowa | So my dad runs a 2007 620 DVS Ranger with a 225 Mercury Verado on it. It currently has a Mercury Marine Tempest Plus 21P Stainless prop on it. This past weekend on Clear Lake I bent one blade on the prop a little. It is not terrible but it affected the top end speed about 4 mph. I am looking at trying to get it fixed at a prop repair shop but I also need to replace it. My question is, will another prop other than a tempest work and if so what am I looking for in buying a new prop. I want to stick with a 21 pitch but what diamter is it or how will i find this out. I have the manual for the motor but it doesnt give me this information.
It also says 48-825862 21P on the side of the prop.
