Just picked up a new 1860, and was wondering if anyone has cut the end of the rod tubes to get a little longer rod in there. I can currently fit an 8ft on the top row, and would like to figure out how to get an 8'6" in there.

Will i have to pull the floor, or can it be accessed by removing the front access panel?
