i am looking at one of these three models and was hoping to get some feedback from those that have used them. i have a 7 year old lowrance lms-332c that early last year started flashing on and off at times even though it was "off" and this spring after leaving it in the boat all winter under cover but out in the elements it took on moisture and bit the dust. should i stay away from lowrance period ? for those that have had a better experience with their newer lowrance models would i be better off sticking with the new gen2 model without the down imaging or is it worth while to also have a unit with the down imaging view of things like on the lowrance elite-5x dsi model ? does the lowrance or the hummingbird have the clearer / better down imaging part of things ? is the hds gen2 sonar that much "better" than the "standard" sonar that you would rather have that for the price and forget about the down imaging part of things ? i am looking at these because they are in the $550 to $650 range unless someone has a "better" model they would recommend in that price range...
thanks in advance...
