Subject: DIY - Repairing chips in fiberglass gelcoat?

I have a couple small (dime – nickel) sized chips out of my gelcoat on the bottom of the hull where you can now see the fiberglass material. Was contemplating on trying to repair myself.

Have any of you guys tried the DIY repairs in gelcoats? Any tips, tricks or word of caution? Ease of repair? I see there are a handful of video clips online on this but wanted to hear other peoples experiences and their results.

Thanks
