Its not the trolling motor...its the way you are trying to deploy it.

Press straight out, not DOWN and out on the trolling motor head...couldn't be easier.

I would disagree with this statemnt. If the motor is that finnicky that many of its owners encounter difficultites deploying it than its a design issue. Deploying the motor should be an intuitive process that does not require much thought. No one ever complains about the Terrova, Vantage, Fortrex etc... deploying beacuse the tollorance is differnt and no thought is needed. You just drop the motor...
