Its not the trolling motor...its the way you are trying to deploy it.

Press straight out, not DOWN and out on the trolling motor head...couldn't be easier.

I've watched guys wrestle with mine up in the front until I run up there and deploy it with zero effort. Find the angle and then fish more so you remember it.
