Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		No float in that pump, it has a sensor that turns the pump on when water enters the housing. If that is shot, you are probably better off replacing the pump...unless it's wired to run all the time (bypass the sensor) with the switch on and auto sensor mode when off, which can be done with some pumps. To be sure, check if there's power to the pump when the switch is off.
