I would take a serious look into Tuffy. If you do not want a tiller, look at the osprey/esox deep-v models. I have owned a 1700 and now a 1760 and both were AMAZING boats. The deck space is un-matched and the price is significantly less than Ranger. In the end its really about what you want and best suits you, but in my opinion your really paying for the name with Ranger.
