Best thing you can do is lock your receiver hitch & the trailer toungue/coupler. The other thing I do is when I need to buy tires I replace two, and put my spare on for one. I then put the used tire on for a spare. You are going to stop them if they want it just give them something that is harder or not as good as the one next to you.
