Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot		You're better off to use a ram mount with electronics IMOP. That way you can take it out of the boat in the winter, when it's hot in the summer (heat kills electronics), can turn it for different viewing angles, send it in for repair much easier if it breaks down, and when you upgrade you don't have to plug the hole that's left behind. Pretty much the only reason to have them installed is because it looks nice if you ask me.
