Hiya,

I would say keep an eye on Ebay. Just took a look there to see what is out there. I typed in "manual jack plate" When you go down the list, there are two that are under $200. I have the one for $196 on my alumacraft. To make height adjustments, I strap the boat down to the trailer, then use a hand jack with a board placed under the sides of the two plates. Loosen the bolts, and move it to where you want, and retighten.

Pretty easy to work. The ones that show the arm and the ratchet in the pictures are really easy to adjust...just loosen the bolts, and adjust the screw, then tighten everything back up.
