There's a lot of used boats out there for sale.so look around for one that you just have to have. The gas consumption is about 1/3rd less for a 4 stroke and you don't add oil to the gas. The 4 stroke weighs more then a 2 stroke and is not as fast on the top end, My Suzy 4 stroke 2006-- 140 on my 17'.5 FT. glass boat puts me on plan as fast as I can trim the motor. but is about 5mph. slower at 49MPH than my 120hp. Johnson was at 55Mph. With a older motor I whould stay with one that has a outboard motor repair shop near you . Suzuki Dealers are hard to find. I just happen to have one near me.
