Starting this year I had the color on my map (Navionics chip in an Eagle Fish Elite 500c) dim down so I can barely see the blue or the white channels inside of the blue.

The sonar half seems normal, but the map side has been tough to read when I'm casting (I swivel the unit and look back from the bow). I had some issues with corrosion on the fuse leading to the battery which affected the whole unit working or not working, but if I rub the connectors with my fingers and clean them off it works fine.

Could this (wiring) be the issue, or is my unit failing? I can't find a color intensity level adjustment anywhere in the menu. A friend of mine is also having a similar problem with a Hummingbird unit.
