Most trolling motor problems can be traced directly back to wiring. Make sure all of your connections are clean and corrosion free. This includes the battery terminals, breaker connections, and plug connections. 12 volt systems actually draw more current than 24 volt systems. I consider 6 ga. wire a must. After cleaning the connections apply some dielectric grease to prevent further oxidation. Have your battery load tested and charged correctly. Can't make any assumptions with electricity, everything must be measured.
