if you have a "brass" 3 prong plug thats probably your problem.the cheap plugs that manufactures used just won't stand up to the current draw of the terrova.look at it for signs of heat to be sure thats the problem.we run into this all the time and usually if we replace the plug[btoh sides,boat and motor] with a stainless minnkota plug[$40] the issue is resolved.if not it sounds like it may be a battery problem that isn't supplying the correct voltage[weak cell,ect].
