I have a 2004 Optimax 150 and when I hit 5k RPM's the boat starts to bog down. Once I let off and get under 5k RPM it's smooth as can be. I'm not really interested in bringing it in since I'll be fishing a lot for the next few months but a guy at Marine Max said it could be the air pump?(Never heard of that)

I changed the fuel filter and put the Mercury fuel additives into it and it's still doing it.

Seem like a fuel delivery issue or a leaking hose?

Anyone have any ideas that I can check out to see if I can fix it myself?

Thanks
Mike
