Here is how I passed the time during the long cold winter.  This boat started it's life as a stock 1969 Starcraft Jupiter V, closed bow run-about.  This past winter I brought it into the shop and did a complete makeover.  I opened up the bow, moved the windshield back a foot, added a 180 flipover rear couch/casting deck.  Got rid of the back to back seats in favor of some removeable swivel buckets.  Added a front casting deck/bow seating area.  The walk through fits my Lakewood Monster exactly.  Under the gunwales are storage for 4 rods, up to 9'6" long.  When the rear seat is flipped over the casting deck measures 40" x 60".  I also placed a deck over the large splashwell for another raised 21" x 60" deck.  There is plenty of storage under each deck and drivers and passengers seat bases.  The front bow cushions are snap in style, easily removeable for conversion into casting deck.  With everything, including a new paint job, I have about 220 hours and 1700 dollars into this makeover, and I couldn't be happier with the results.  It still needs a few finishing touches and a trolling motor, but I love everthing I can do with it now.  The first few pictures are how the boat looked before (green).
