As previous tin boat owner (Lund) I'll vouch for a good riveted hull all day long. And as a guy who knows two guys with XXXXXXX brand of boat with welded hulls, I can vouch that each of them has had nothing but trouble with their boats in the form of cracks. The welded hull pitch is just that IMO, a pitch. I'm not saying that all welded hulls are bad. I'm just saying that I'd prefer riveted.
