Tfoot has the right idea. When you save your waypoints off the HDS you need to save them as version 2 (If memory serves correctly, either way they need to be saved in the lowest version # off the HDS) so that the older 520 can read them. The only difference in the newer version is that it also saves depth information with the waypoint, something that really doesn't matter when you're just transferring waypoints between units.
