Subject: how valuable is side and down imaging


looking for a new unit since mine just crapped out today. was just to curious to the guys that have si and di units would you say that they are invaluable tools to have or more of a just a neat feature. my question is are the si/di units worth the extra expense. i can definetly see their merits but i question if i would use them more than just the sonar/map chart split screen view. any info would really be appreciated thanks guys and gals.
