Thanks for all replys. Here is some more info. When I 1st set up this boat, I had a guy glass in a transducer to read when motoring at all speeds and then he mounted the SI ducer where its at. (He is on humminbird prostaff and has done a bunch of these) With this set up, (before I added the white plate) I got only about a 35 foot reading to the left. He came with me and said the livewell intakes were the problem and I needed to move the ducer out and inch or so. Also, thats when we had to add the high speed ducer to the back of the boat because I was loosing a reading at 25 mph. Thus I don't know if its now an issue or not. I'm tempted to get out some duct tape and play around with spots. Wish I had more time, Canada in about 10 days.
