Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Keith finally got enough time away from working at the Woodruff DNR to get his new ride rigged and ready, he got the new hull late this Spring. We took it out this week, and she's a worthy multi-specie rig for sure! The boat literally draws 8" at rest so it will launch and fish well in very shallow water, handles big water well, snaps up on plane with a full load and runs mid thirties with both of us in the rig. We are working on an option with the factory to allow for at least 4 9' rods to be stored, too.
I was worried about the dry hatch on the front deck, but it's actually perfect. Comfortable to stand on, no issues at all. Plenty of room for the Just Encase and Frabill in the rear, too.
best thing is this rig retails for about $13,995 boat motor and trailer with everything new, so the investment was very reasonable for the hull. He already had the motor and trailer from the rig she was created from by the Tuffy engineers.
We are refinishing the trailer and getting a coat of wax on her tomorrow, and adding some goodies (especially a back deck) along the way. Should be a great replacement for the hull she came from.
