Playing with props might be needed to make sure the boat performs the way you want it to. I have mine propped more for hole shot as most of the lakes I fish are smaller so I'm not cruising long. On the other hand if you are making long runs maybe a few mph will make a difference. Most shops will work with you but the motor needs to be broke in. I had a noticeable difference once mine was broken in.
