I called my electrical engineer buddy and posed this question because it was killin' me. He said that without using some extra jumpers or ledes to your batteries.... or without customizing your charger (read: adding alligator clips) it couldn't be done.

If you wanted to tinker with a charger, you could do it. But as far as flipping over the batter compartment door, taking an out-of-the-box battery charger and clipping two gator clips.......no go.
