Any anchor will hold bottom if you put 6' of heavy chain in front of it.


Not true, there are a lot of variables that determine whether the anchor will hold and I've had my 25 pound Richtor, with 6' of chain, and 75' of rope out slip a number of times on Mille Lacs when walleye fishing. Usually it happens when the anchor is set on gravel in 2-3' waves.
