You need to check which version or update you have. Last year some of my HDS 7s were lacking the upgrade. I have a Navionics chip and a bunch of Lakemaster chips. The Navionics chip was painfully slow. As soon as I put the new upgrade on that speeded everything up a lot not only on the Navionics chip, but also the Lakemaster chips. I have yet to do the 4.0 upgrade but will be doing that soon.
