Most motors have trim and tilt ranges. Trim is what is used to adjust the boat while under way, from all the way down up to 15 degrees or so. Tilt is rest of the range that tilts the motor up the rest of the way. Tilt is ment to be used at idle speed only and does not have the force to keep the motor up under more power. Some motors the trim range is weaker then others.
