Supply vs. Demand
The last few years there hasn't been many boats being purchased so therefore there aren't as many used boats to choose from. Fewer boats and an increase in people looking for them has resulted in higher prices. It's the same deal in used cars right now too.

The other thing you're seeing is people who have to get out of there boat for what they owe on it. Many people did the 10+ year loan program and are way upside down on them.
