Subject: Choosing a hull color for a boat?

Location: Athens, Ohio		Is there any specific reason for color of a boats' hull? Is a light or dark colored hull more spooky to fish?

Some of the boats I've looked at have had black on the bottom , some white. I was curious as to if there is a real reason for these colors or if this is simply how the boats were ordered by the dealers or owners.
