Location: MN		I used marine grade plywood, 3/4" thick. It is expensive for a sheet, but better quality and should last longer. I had lips around edges to rest it on, so I didn't build a frame. Just added more support along open edge of platform. Going with aluminum tubing would be best option. I used marine carpet to wrap the platform to make it match the other carpet in boat. Don't forget about seat pedestal in platform, guy in back likes those. Last thing, use stainless steel hardware. Galvanized will work for a while, but you will regret soon.
