I just changed mine this year. Mine did not have anyway to grease it. I did see some stuff online that some peoples have a zerk fitting right by where it connects to the motor. Further in the research some people hung it straight up and down and poured motor oil in it. To be honest I don't think its anything I would want to chance on messing up on the water at speed so I would just change it. When you replace it make sure there isn't too much of a bend anywhere because that can cause it fail sooner.
