when fishing in canada, we lost a bunk on my dad's trailer. the resort owner let us use a piece of plastic cutting board material given to him by a client. we put that on a 2x4 to get us through the rest of the trip. works great, but if you are on a real steep landing, you want to make sure the boat is tied to something!
