Subject: Console vs. Tiller in bigger water

I have a 16.5' tiller than I am seriously considering selling. I am looking at new boats up to 18' with a beam of around 90".

I plan to use the boat 60% of the time trolling big water (Lake St. Clair) and the rest of the time either casting LSC in more protected areas or fishing smaller bodies of water. When fishing LSC, it is not uncommon to make 20-30 min. runs with my current boat.

Can't make up my mind on tiller vs. console. For smaller water or LSC on calmer days, no question I prefer a tiller.

What do you guys think? Again, keep in mind I will do quite a bit of trolling in 1-3 footers. I appreciate your thoughts.
